National Vietnam Veterans Museum
Doreen RSL recently organised a trip to the Vietnam Veteran’s museum on Phillip Island. It is a magnificent place to see the machinery and the way things were over in Vietnam during the conflict.
The museum is layed out in a way that anyone can get around and get right up close to all the displays. There are diaramas that depict life over there and they have an amazing level of detail.
The static display outside of the Caribou was areal hit with the kids as the staff opened up the doors and let the kids in to have a hands on experience of flying in one of our most iconic aircraft. Th staff at the museum really went above and beyond to make our day the best experience we could have.
our Visit to the museum was followed by a great lunch at Philip Island RSL.
It is a wonderful RSL with a truly magnificent display of Military memorabillia
We finished out trip to the isalnd with a stop off at Bassine Specialty cheeses on the way home. There are some wonderful treats in store for those of us that enjoy our cheeses.
It was a day we will never forget.
