Diamond Valley Veterans Archery Day

A few members of Doreen RSL went to the Veterans Archery day at Diamond Valley archers. And what a great day we had. The team at DVA ( Diamond valley Archers) spent the time to teach us how to shoot and some tips and tricks along the way. We had a ball. Braving the 35 degree heat, everyone put in a solid effoert and scored really well. Rebekah even perseveered through the heat with a solid effort in the archery and walked some of the field course.

And there was definatley no competion between the services or native countries at all. Was there Alton?

Derek even scored a bullseye to win a chocolate bar at the end of the days proceedings.

After we had finished shooting, we went inside to have our sausage sizzle lunch put on by the club. They do a great sausage sizzle too.

After a bit of a break, we went for a walk to see the field archery course. Apart form being part montain goat and part explorer, this course is a very challenging course for those that want to try and step up thier game.

Many thanks to the team at DVA for putting on a wonderful fun filled day and a great sausage sizzle at the end of the shooting.

And a great many thanks to Derek, Jane, Rebekah, Alton and Sarah for making this such a memorable day.
